Ellie picks up speed faster than I'm expecting and I cringe as she falls smack into the boards, grabbing on before she can fall to the ice. Hurrying to follow, I find her laughing as I stop short, my blades shushing on the ice as I grin at her.
"Well, you found a way to stop!" I tell her, laughing myself now. "Honestly, that's as good a way as any sometimes, but I promise I can show you ways that aren't so abrupt."
